Oil pressure sensor

Would a broken oil pressure sensor cause a motor not to start? Id like to say it would from what i remember reading but i need clarification.

Not sure i ran without an oil pressure sensor for about a week, broke mine changing my spark plugs then fixed it a week later, ran fine the whole time! besides leaking a little oil.. so i wouldnt think so!

Car has a brand new msd opti that fired up when installed (loctited rotor n all), had loose trans lines so i dropped trans member to get to them and now it wont start.

If I remember right the oil pressure sensor only goes to the dash and the PCM never sees it.

You need to figure out if it's ignition or fuel.
