Delco radio issue

Delco radio issue Ok so since i got my 94 transam I've always had an issue with my radio, its the deluxe delco w/ cd and equalizer. I can be driving along or it happens when I get in the car in the morning, the radio is stuck on the volume it was left at, if you try and change the station you get nothing. Turing it on/off wont work or shutting the entire radio off doesn't work either. You can be driving along and all of a sudden you get the station back at the volume you set it at and it works fine. Also I have hardwired a AUX jack and it even interferes with that, and yeah it was doing the same thing before I put the AUX jack in. I know I can easily fix this with probably a new tape deck but honestly they look like **** and they're so much smaller than a stock radio, of course I can take a shot in the dark and get a used Delco. Any ideas?
