Default 96 Camaro Z28

Please no smart remarks just so good help. I came across a really nice 96 Z28 1le with only 24k miles on it that I can get for $9k, what do you think of the price it is super clean, I would like to see if I can make it run with the newer camaro/mustang. I know it is an Lt1 but the price seems good for the low low miles, never going to the track just want a fast reliable street car.

Yes its very low miles but most of the rubber parts will need to be replaced. That said i enjoy my lt1 very much. Parts are cheap and car is easy to work on. I bought mine with 68k miles on it. Paid 4800 for it and i hate seeing that odometer go up lol. Def suggest an fbody but i cant tell ya if thats the right one for you

you could go low 13's with bolt ons, and my engine has 206K on it so it'll be reliable so long as you keep up with the oil and whatnot. how quick/fast do you want the car to go?

Not really concerned about times just want to be fast and sound good, my last Ls1 had 400 rwhp not trying to got there but would like at least 300 rwhp if possible. Only thinking about a stall, Lt's, catback, and some head work no cam this time around?

I was at 300rwhp with slp shorties, K&N CAI, catback, and 1.6 roller rockers. Through a T56. 300rwhp is not hard to hit at all in these cars.

300rwhp is just bolt ons basically.
