Default Rear end question for a '96 Trans Am

I want to know what kind of rear end does a '96 Trans Am A4 have? I assist you with? 2:73 gears, I was told and been reading that I have a 10 bolt but I want to be more then sure. I'm planning to buy my 3:73 gears along with my 3600 stall converter soon, and just want to plan everything out precisely.

Thanx

You have a 7-1/2" 10 bolt. You will have to buy the thick gear since you have a 2 series carrier.

if you're stock posi is fine, leave it alone. No sense spending money on an aftermarket carrier for these 10 bolts. Like said, you need a thick set fo gears for the 2 series carrier. Go with Motive Gear.
