Looking at what you already have, I would invest in a set of headers, some drag radials and an updated tune to get the full effects of the headers.

next in the list would be:
stall (3000+)
roller rockers
cam swap
heads

Assuming he drag races...for a DD drag radials would be a waste of money.

if he cant put the power to the ground all these mods would be a waist of money. he could pick up another set of stock rims and put radials on it :p

Not really, I have a cam, headers stall and spray on my LS car and dont have DRs on it. It is more fun now than when it was stock. It suck going to the track and cutting 2.2 60s but still fun to play with

If you're daily driving drag radials, you might be a redneck.

Just kidding.

Not all DD's drag race. Of course he hasn't come back to clarify some things so speculations are going wild.

Sometimes you need that extra oomph to pass someone, that's rolling at 35-55mph.

Cold air intake, long tube headers, gears. If you can only choose two: headers are a must, take your pick on the other two. You can always do another upgrade later when more funds become available. Headers are the basic building blocks of all other engine mods.

Headers will be my first mod. I'm eyeballing the Stainless Works with cat's system. They're just under $1400 though. My car works fine for now and it's just a fun weekend car not a DD. My wife and I aren't street or drag racing it anyway.

Get yourself a set of LT's ORY pipe, catback, auto go with a 3200 to 3400, a mailorder tune PCMForless , CAI, these bolt-ons alone will get you a low 13 or high 12 no problem with a set of DR's on the back. And if you want to go all out go with a CC503 cam, valve springs, and tune, low 12's all day and still use the car as your DD.

That is what i have got done to my 94Z28, except for the cam, that will happen next yr i went with a 3200 FTI, if i had my time back i would of went 3400. Good luck whatever you do, installing LT's on these cars are not to bad they will take you a day or more if you never installed a set before.
