Default What is this?

Sorry not engine related, but the appearance area of this thread seams to be a little dead so I must ask... Wtf is this thing, and how can I remove it without breaking the glass?! Was this for a bag phone of the 90's? Or something radio related?

Sorry guys on my phone and my pix won't upload, what I'm talking about is this black metal thing on the back windshield that almost looks like a go pro mount?

The only thing I can think of that would be on the back glass would be a connection for the defogger grid.

The way you describe it doesn't seem like it is anything stock.

Early cellular phones had a "stick on" antenna, that in many cases, was attached to the outside of the car's rear window.

I would think some acetone will eat away the adhesive, then some goof off or WD 40 for whatever is left after the piece is off. Does look like a camera mount to me

Looks like an old cell phone antenna mount. Putty knife. Held on with two sided tape and maybe a little silicon.

if the edges of a putty knife arent true it could scratch the glass. a new razor blade and wd 40 is all you need.
