Default stuck! LT1 W/LS1T56

I'm getting so many mixed answers.. I need help.

This is going into a Project 62 Chevy pickup..

Donor Engine: 1997 LT1 350
Donor Tranny: 2004 GTO T56 (TUET 2066)

I GOT NOTHING ELSE.

Trying to get the information required to mate the two, so many mixed answers..

One retailer.. need shaft
another retailer: just Bell housing required (RM-6023)
then an adapter plate here and there..

What do I really need? Any info and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I can defiantly tell you that your 97 LT1 will accept 93 (different gearing), and 94-97 f-body six speed with no issue.

I can also defiantly tell you the input shaft length and front plate, bell housing are different on the newer 6 speed's.

LT1 clutch fork is a pull type, LS is a hydraulic push.
Yeah, but the two just happen to be at a deal I could not pass up..

So I understand the shaft is longer, OE bell won't work, hence the thought of just getting the bell housing from lakewood to rectify both issues in one shot. So I thought as it seems..

As for the hydraulic push, yeah I was expecting that route already with a willwood hyd reservoir for my requirements.. at least that's what I read is the standard to adding the hyd bearing.
