ODB1 - 10 codes - Is it the PCM or a voltage problem?
The recorded codes are:
14 - coolant sensor - low voltage
34 - MAP sensor low voltage
45 - rich exhaust
44 - lean exhaust
43 - Electronic Spark Control - low voltage
42 - Electronic spark timing (EST) open or shorted
55 - ECM fault or oxygen sensor fault
54 - Fuel pump circuit fault or mixture control or ECM fault
53 - System voltage too high - over 17.7 volts to ECM or alternator voltage not normal - the volt meter on the dash looks normal
I want to think there is some sort of short or bad ground that causing all these low voltage codes. However, my understanding of DTC51 is that it is a checksum error on the PROM.
If it is a short, where do I even start looking for it?
What do you think is wrong with it?
thanks,
j.
