Default Car shutting down at random intervals

I don't think it is fuel related as their is no sputter before it shuts off. Car shuts off at idle, while accelerating, and while maintaining speed. Sometimes it will start right back up. OTher times it acts as if the fuel pump is clogged and have to wait for pressure to drop to start again.

Stumped right now. Spent the weekend putting on a new optispark. Changed the thermostat and water pump while I was at it. The wiring harness was skinned a little but, we wrapped it pretty good while waiting on a new one to come in.

Aside from the wiring harness being the issue. There are 2 other areas of concern for me with this problem.

1. The oil pressure warning is on while at idle. But, after it warms up, maintains the pressure at halfway when cruising. Have checked the oil and oil pressure and everything there is fine. PRetty sure it is the oil pressure signal unit being faulty. But, will that cause the car to shut off at times?

2. There is a ACCEL300+ racing ignition installed on the car. But, it isn't hooked up. From what I read on those, it prevents failures due to wiring issues.
Could that cause my issue?

When the car is actually running, it is a beast of a vehicle. Just have this issue with it cutting off at times.

The oil pressure thing is normal, GM says you only need 10psi per 1000 rpm, and hovering just at the red while at warm idle is normal. Many of our cars do this including mine.

The shutting down could be a loose battery terminal, had that happen to me.

I prayed that was the issue before I put on a new water pump and optispark.

Check the power dist. block on the pass. inner fender to make sure connections are tight as well.

Mine did this when the ICM was going haywire.

My father in law replaced that as well. Now, he got it from pick and pull from a wrecked car. So, it could be the issue still.

Nevermind. When cutting out, power to the guage cluster will also cut out. As mentioned it sounds a lot like a coil or ICM issue. You can do some testing and use this for reference:
