Default Best Stall

Just graduated college, landed a good FT job and now ready to get the car done. Getting 373's put in the rear end. Car is an A4, I was looking at the
PRO YANK SERIES 3600 STALL. Are these series of stall's multi disk? Want the best stall for the money.

Thanks.

I would call or email Dave at Yank. He could answer that question and also provide you with a professional recommendation.

According to their website the PY 3600 is for boosted applications or large shots of nitrous and rated up to 1200rwhp. Hard to say if that is a suitable choice for you without knowing a lot more.

Goals for the car?
Is it a DD, street/strip, track only?
Future mod plans?
etc.

I've run a couple of Yanks, I would say most people would be completely happy with one of their SS series converters. Again it comes down to goals, mods etc. but I think the SS series is a good place to start.

There is no single best stall, it depends on your combo.

Torque curve, NA, boosted, nitrous, car weight, gearing, amount of street vs track time, etc. all will chance your stall choice.

In general the SS series Yanks are what most people go with for street cars that see little track time and maybe small amounts of nitrous. PY for boosted/big shots, and the looser PTs for the aggressive NA builds.

Best bet, like recommended, is to call a few companies and see what they recommend. Yank and Circle D both seem very popular with the street/strip crowd and make a good stall for the money. More track oriented guys often use ATI, Neil Chance, or FTI but we are now talking $1,000+ for a stall.

PI Vigilante or Yank SS is what I would go with.

Any reason you want or need a multidisk 'verter?

Assuming this is the car in your sig, a single disk unit would be just fine. If you wanted to make WOT pulls with the converter locked up the multi would be a better choice, but there won't be much of a performance advantage for a n/a setup other than a couple of mph. The 245mm diameter is what you want to be looking at here.

Depending on your set up, but yeah the yank 3600 is a great stall.
