Default Le 227/235 565/579 110lsa

Anybody here using this cam? This is the cam Loyd Elloit, suggested for me for my car. I know this guy is the LT1 king just wanted to get some feedback from guys who are using this cam. I was going to go with the CC503, but after talking to Loyd, very friendly guy answered my questions and was a great guy to deal with. Decent prices may i add he will be defintaly getting my business.

That's pretty close to the one he specced for me. Mine is 228/236 110lsa. If that's what Lloyd suggested for your needs, I'd go with it. Do you have ported heads to go with it?

No my heads are not ported but he said this cam would work for my car. Once i told him i had a 3200 stall in the car, i am definatly going with it no doubts.

I think that with 0.026 head gaskets would be sweet.

LE knows his stuff when it comes to Gen II LT1 motors. The grind he recommended for my Ellwein-built 383 stroker is 231/239 - 579/591 110 LSA. I'm using a 3400 rpm stall and LE's ported heads/intake. The car runs great ... terrific low-end/mid-range torque with solid top-end power.

Interesting....sounds awfully similar to the Lunati Voodoo 60122 in my 383: 231/239 -.571/.587 110 LSA

That is a fairly common spec for a street/strip 350 build.

Almost identical to my CMotorsports grind from 2006, don't wanna go much bigger for a street duty 350 limited by the stock computer.

Lloyd also recomended a similar cam for my setup on my 95 lt1 Z but tbh the amount of lift he recomended has got me somewhat puzzled. Im sorta new to all this when it comes to cams. But anyway the cam is 227/235 .587/.600 110 lsa. Would this be because i told him i was leaving the bottom end stock for now and didnt want to spin it past 6000-6200 rpm for peak? Seems like a good bit of lift to me compared to others with similar durations and separation angles.

Most likely the problem is your comparing a cam Lloyd recommended to you recently with shelf grind cams from 10+ years ago. That is a common cam that Lloyd recommends for stock cube street engines as well as lower compression ratio 383's and is an excellent choice imo. Your best bet would be to call Lloyd and have him answer your questions so you can make an informed decision and be confident in your choice.

His grinds generally have more aggressive lobes. The old XE lobes from Comp (used with the cc503) are nicer on the valvetrain but sacrifice some power.

Pick something with less duration if you don't want to spin past 6.2k.
