uninstalling the throttle cable

any one know how to take the throttle cable off from my 1996 impala SS because I want to lube it because the accelerator pedal is hard to press.

I ordered from Amazon.com the cable luber or lubber. I will lube the cable with WD-40.

Should be held in place in the firewall with push tabs. Should be able to squeeze the tabs and push the cable out. Not sure which side of the firewall the tabs are. If it were me I'd just spray WD-40 down the housing of the exposed side that got onto the throttle body and see what happens.
