LT1 Build
I have a 383 LT1 with a forged bottom end and flat top pistons. Planning on running AI trickflow heads 21 or 23 degree to be decided. Solid roller with a shaft mount set up most likely. Converted single plane intake. Fuel delivery to be decided. I would rather run a carb since I have much more experience with them, but fi is not out of the picture. Will run e85 either way.
Originally planned on nitrous but have decided to do a little turbo research. Engine will be in a s10 with a glide.
I would like some input on your thoughts on running 10-15 lbs of boost on 11:1 static if I ran a little bigger chamber than originally planned. I know conventional wisdom would say not to do it but this will be my first e85 experience and I'm curious as to what it's capable of. Could I get by with an air to air intercooler or would an air to water be necessary? Keeping iat down and timing modest does this sound like it would be doable?

PS: You can use as much compression as you want....but then you'll have to pull more timing and boost.....and boost is waaaaaay more important than a couple of points of compression.
If you have the means, I think a blow through would handle it just fine as long as you are not giving the motor super hot air on top of a questionable SCR. Cam it accordingly to get DCR down and sneak up on your tune very slowly.
That being said, why not hog out the heads (quench be damned) and run a ~.040-.050 HG?
If you can fuel it well, keep timing in check, and don't let it rattle, it should live. Should.
