Yup, the exhaust and intake are aftermarket too.

Those numbers don't add up.

There's 1 sure way to know a dyno was wrong, and that is if the HP and torque do not cross at 5250, but since you didn't take it that high you would have to see if they crossed before that. Hp = torque * rpm/5250, so it has to cross at 5250. I would have believed your torque being 309 and HP being 263, I think he didn't have his reading glasses on and had them swapped and thought that 2 was a 3.

You should take it to the track now and get a baseline number then go again with the 503 and see the improvement.

Far as rpm you know Comp's rpm ranges are all wrong and that 503 cam is going to want 63-6500rpm on this motor you were afraid to take over 5000rpm?

Ummm show us in this thread where anyone said they would? If you read anything you would see that i posted that because people noticed the slp in the sound clip. And fyi this is my daily driver. Has been for over 3 years so dont think everyone here is pressed about inching every bit of hp out of their f body. There is nothing you can do to an fbody to make it fast after having worked at a vette dealership and having drivin zo6s, zr1s and my personal fave and fastest car ive driven, the shelby gt 500 with a whipple supercharger making 900hp.

As i get bored with this z i change something. But i also have drivability as my priority.

So maybe read and think before you post?

Anyways thanks for the replies guys. Im happy you all got a kick out of the numbers Like i did.

After i get the 503 and parts in ill get another dyno run and have em rev it out and hopefully put these old numbers to rest.
Cheers guys!

What is a throttlebody delete? WOT all the time?

Saying you can't make an F-Body fast is ignoring all those fast F-Bodies out there. Sure, stock for stock the Corvette rules the roost. But, how many 20 year old compact RWD V-8 powered cars are stock?

...that Shelby supersnake conversion ALONE cost $150K....plus cost of the Cobra. It's the slowest 900hp car you can buy. I believe I could create a faster f-body given a 200K budget Or better yet buy a ZR1 and 1000 RWHP f-body and still have some spending money left over!

The throttlebody delete adds power by cutting weight off the car. Dont you know those lt1 intakes hate throttlebodies hooked to them. And the "loudmoth" exhaust adds 65lbs of torque. This is common knowledge!

You said these things as to why you wouldn't get it dynoed again.

Your butt hole caught fire.

Now what?

Could you expand on the vette dealership? I don't get why a mustang would be there?
