Default How much would my rolling chassis be worth?

Well, it seems as though I may have spun a crank bearing within a week of completing my cam swap...

Since I am probably going to have to pull the motor to put in a new crankshaft or possibly a whole new rotating assembly, I'm toying with the possibility of buying a rolling chassis of an older muscle car like a chevelle SS or stingray style vette and putting in my rebuilt LT1 as a 383 or 396 stroker...

I haven't really talked with my parents about it yet, in fact they don't even know the car is broke, but (no offense to the fbody) I am getting sick and fuggin tired of busting up my knuckles and arms working in that sardine can of an engine bay... I love the LT1 power and sound though, so I do plan to keep that as my power plant, just in a more muscular and bigger engine bayed car...

My plan would be to sell the 94 as a rolling chassis to fund the stroker build, and then I would save up enough money or take out a loan here at some point in the future to buy a rolling chassis... Keep in mind, selling this thing will save me at least $500 per year in car insurance, and bout $40 per week in gas, and it'll also keep me from having to spend money to fix the **** all the time... Anyways, I have not made up my mind on this yet, but I really love old chevelles and stingray vettes, and I am seriously considering this idea...

My question to you guys is, what can I honestly expect to get for my car as a rolling chassis minus the engine, cpu/harness, trans, and radiator... If the buyer really wanted, I suppose I could leave the trans in the car for them, and I'll prolly need something stronger for the stroker anyways... Please give a price with and without the trans...

Here are the pics of the car...

I has been stored in winters, 83k miles, has power everything, keyless entry, vats, hardtop, auto console, and all the mods at the link below... minus the ones that will be coming out with the engine of course...

The mods...

I'm also thinking about selling the tranny and possibly the nitrous outright to help fund the project, any suggested prices on those would be welcome too...

Thanks guys...

I hope if this plan all goes through that I'll still be welcome here...

I really dont know what somthing like that would be worth. I am thinking around 4k. I feel your pain . its hard working in those little crowded engine bays. Good luck to you

IMO, 4k is too much just for the rolling chassis, sadly even with all the mods. You can get a decent LT1 Z28 that is running for that price these days. Its not a sellers market at the moment. You could probably make that much if not more parting it out but that is a major pain! Thats a lot more work than most people think. I think youre best bet would be just to replace whats broken and keep on rolling with youre car as it is now. It looks like youve got a lot in it, it would suck to have to start over again.
