Starting Engine Without Water Pump
I'm about ready to fire the car up after being down a few years due to a bad Opti. Since the water pump is the biggest and messiest pain in the butt, can I just crank the motor and make sure she fired up before putting it back on? I figured since it's driven off the cam and not the the accessory belt it would work fine. Any reason this would be a problem?

it will be fine. i did it on mine when i changed my opti to make sure it runs. only run it for about 10 seconds. thats all you need to make sure it will run. just remember to put your intake and maf on. it wont run right with the maf unplugged.
