This is just FYI, not saying this is your issue.

My Lifters are new Gen III stockers I believe, GM parts. They were new though. The other thing I noticed when I changed the oil around a month ago was the car seemed to run a little further up the rpms before dropping power. Idk how the oil could have changed anything though as the old oil only had about 3k on it (Mobil One) Stock style lifters are ok to use right? I always assumed that due to the high number of people running them. I'm only running 1/8 turn past zero lash too.

I'm running the stock lifters still, 26k miles since engine rebuild and 175k total. Got one ticking now, off and on. Going with the LS7 GMPP lifters soon. Sitting in the garage just need to be installed.

Not sure if I should replace mine while I'm doing the valve springs. I mean the engine will be opened up at least to some degree. Seems like the perfect time even though they are fairly new. Maybe 15k on them.

These are the lifters I'm using currently.

Also this is what LE sent me about stronger valve springs. Lunati springs with a different part number than the ones that were mentioned.

"I can sell a set of lunati 723925 K5 dbl springs with retainers, locks, locators and seals for $240 shipped to you.

If the valve springs are the problem, they wont be with these on there.

155 lbs on seat, 400 lbs open and rated at .660 lift so they can work with this cam with out even breathing hard."

I just can't find anything out about those springs.

I see that now. I forgot you posted those pics. Sweet deal, I'll order them through him as he has a good price shipped.

I don't know why I put K2, K5 is the correct Kit part designation for the LT1's. Here's all the spring specs. The 73925K5 kit comes with the springs, seals, retainers, locks, and locators. The locators are .100" thick. Make sure you check the installed height, the Lunati retainers sit a bit lower on the valve stem than the stock ones do.
