Default Fog Light Wiring...

So I bought this 880 RGB fog light kit to install into my fog lights.

It has two bulbs wired to one wifi/operating box. It can then be controlled on a smart phone/ android via wifi.

I wired the box to the factory fog light connector on the drivers side.

The lights seem to be very dim and I feel like they should be much brighter.

Wondering if they are underpowered? If so how do I increase the wires power supply? Would adding a larger fuse to the Fuse Box Fog Light slot increase the available power to pull?

Can you provide links to what you bought and pics of your install? No, you don't want to put a larger fuse in and it won't allow more power through. The fuse is designed to pop before the wire heats up to the point of melting its insulation, grounding out on nearby metal, and more than likely creating a fire. Most people prefer their car wasn't on fire.

This is the LTx section, most may want their car on fire.

This is what I bought. I wired it to the driver side fog light harness.

The manual says that it works best with 14-24.5 volts.

Best wiring ideas?

Well duh, there's your problem. System voltage is 12V, which is why they're dim. You're going to need a step up converter for 12V to 24V for them. You'll need to make sure it's rated for the amperage that thing is going to pull.

So get a step up and wire it directly to the fog harness? Or you think I should replace the wires with a larger gauge? Sorry that I'm brain dead with wiring.

Larger gauge won't do anything for you. It will not increase your voltage.
All the large gauge wire will do is allow it to be able to draw a lot more current.

I honestly recommend you do a lot of reading on electrical then, because you have a serious potential for damage with your limited knowledge. Or take it to a professional and have them do it.

This OP. Think of electricity as water. Putting a bigger hose will flow more water from the spicket, but to increase pressure you need a booster pump. Voltage (V) is pressure, amps (A) is flow. V*A=W(watts or power). Just like flow x pressure = power. And Force (pressure) x distance over time (rpm or flow) = horsepower.

Your fog lights need a bit more pressure to work right, so you'll need a step up converter to about 24V. Amps will drop giving you the same power (like a pressure washer, higher pressure with less flow), But it'll work better.

Nahhh fool I ment in addition to the step up! Then I thought about and figured the wires after the step up would need a higher gauge. Lol. I know just changing wires wont pull more power... but thanks everyone!

The stock fog light wires are plenty for what you are running, even with the step up. You could have a bad connection though, but larger gauge wire will improve nothing.

Understand that what you purchased is strictly for looks(different colors) and are not intended to project light in a focused beam within the factory lamp housing.
