.....as I noted earlier in this thread, the Lingenfelter cam is good but 20 years later cam design has improved and people who make a living in cam design and head port work would be who I would communicate with for your specific needs.

and this 212/222 grind would be one:

again you will need new valve springs for this or any cam. If you had your heads ported to allow the cam to perform better...even more HP & TQ. But the 212/222 would be good also with stock heads.

Be careful saying that kind of thing around here. I have no idea if the 211 would be a better cam with stock heads, but if you want an emissions legal cam, don't mind the idle being on the tame side, are going to pair a set of ported heads that will complement the cam, the bullshit about it being a dated cam goes out the window if you are doing very low 12's in a full weight car with supporting mods and getting mid to upper 20mpg. Also, LE is not the only game in town. Craig Gallant from GTP knows his ****. He was the first to get a 4th gen into the deep 11's some 20+ years ago.

Advanced Induction too has done great things, however they have recently had static about the customer relations.

Heh. I'd bet that LE 212/222 would run almost identically to the old LPE 211/219 grind if installed in an otherwise identical engine.
Same with that 218/224....Comp has a XE cam in their line with the same .050 duration specs, they've been producing it for well over 10 years.

If two given cams are similar in overall specs, you can bet they're going to run very similarly and produce similar results if all other factors are constant. There's not really any rocket science or voodoo about it.
