best clutch for 6speed camaro??

best clutch for 6speed camaro?? Looking to put a new clutch in my car. Previous owner just put a zoom Kevlar clutch kit in it about 1000 miles an 8 passes on the track ago. Its a good clutch I guess...it dont slip an itll cherp 2nd gear with out a problem. However just casually taking off in 1st or reverse its got some chatter. Almost like ive got to give it alot more gas to keep it a smooth take off or back up. Is this normal or should I continue looking into a new good clutch?? I dont plan on racin the car...motor is mostly stock. Bbk shortys. 3in borla. 1.6 cc rr. (Not sure why he went with different rockers but stayed with the stock cam when he rebuilt it) any feed back will be much appreciated. Thank you

The Zoom kevlar clutch, like other non organic disc, will chatter on engagement. You can adjust your engagement technique to minimize this. You really don't want to slip the Kevlar clutch or it will just glaze over. You can beat the crap out of a Kevlar clutch, just its street manners are something to deal with like you experience
For a basically stock motor like yours you can go with a quality stock replacement organic disc clutch. LUK is a decent one and often is the "store brand" clutch you get at auto part chain stores. IIRC it is what NAPA carries.
Kevlar, ceramic and other types of more aggressive clutch discs do "hold" more power but the trade off is street manners, especially in stop & go traffic, 1st gear and reverse engagement.

I'm running a LUK clutch from rock auto. It has had up nicely. Has a little chatter upon take off. Especially when cold in the mornings. But other than that it's great, it'll chirp 2nd and 3rd. I have no complaints for the price.
