Coolant Type Change I just replaced the water pump on my brother's 97 Trans Am. The coolant that came out of the engine was definitely green, but when I went to the store to get new stuff, they told me I should be using orange. It looks like the car came with orange, but someone must have switched it over. I've drained/filled with water/ran the engine 4 times now, but I'm still seeing a little green in the radiator. Since I don't have access to a power flush system, I'm never really going to be able to get all of the old stuff out. Should I be sticking with green, or should I use orange?

you really need to pull the knock sensors to do a complete flush if changing from green to orange
Orange lasts longer than green but I have been running green for 18 years now. I just use generic brand green usually sold under store brand name.
