Hi guys, I haven't been on the site for a while but I finally got my 396 lt1 built.Its going in this week. I 'll post some numbers after I get it on the dyno.I'm hoping to see 550 hp/500lbs of torque. I went with the 3.875 crank and 6" rods splayed mains diamond dish -34cc pistons and stock ported and polished heads by Tommy Gonzolous which the builder said he has never seen heads ported and polished soo well. Lt4 intake matched with a Lunati custom grind cam 536/551 lift 231/239 @.50 lsa 110. I'll keep you posted

Started putting the brackets on and the super damper and the rest of the pulleys for the serpentine system dont line up.Got it from Summit which is suppose to be for a lt1 engine but even though it's all the way on it won't line up.
Hey Guys , Well the engine's in had to go with a different damper, but all is well. Will be firing it up this weekend.Keep you posted. Next I'll be looking for a rear to swap in to it. Currently it has 2.73's.Think I'll go with a ford nine inch with 3.55's
