Default Head bolts and ex manifold bolts.

Any tips on getting the back two exh manifold bolts out on the passenger side? Alsodo they make any good quality head bolts besides the $100 arp bolts?

I think you can get them from up top, but if not, have you removed the starter and tried? As far as bolts go:

Where are you looking where they are $100.00? Your choice of length and bolt head style is up to you. Get nothing larger than a 3/8" head size. Makes it a ton easier to tighten when dealing with space/header primaries. I have Hooker headers and run a 3/4" bolt length. Some use a 1.00". Depending on the thickness of your headers should determine that. I think Pacesetters have a thicker flange than Hookers. Not sure on that one.

Good info on header bolts thanks. Im putting on mac mids. I was actually asking about head bolts. Everyone says go with arp. I didnt really want to spend $90 on bolts but it sounds like they are the best to go with.

Got the manifolds unbolted!!!! All bolts came out from the top with a deep dish 9/16, ratchet and a pipe for a ratchet extension. Lucky i could squeeze my forearm between the passenger side manifold and firewall otherwords that passenger side manifold may have never came off. The back two driver side bolts came off from underneath. Stripped one of them but jammed a 14mm on it to get it out the rest of the way. 7hr job total. Just happy these worthless manifolds are off!
