How much boost on a stock crank? Good cr for turbo? Ok so I'm going turbo with my build and was wondering about keeping the stock crank. Would it be a serious weak point for 500 hp car? I found out I need new rods three of mine are shot. Going with the eagle 5140 I beams not sure on the pistons yet or what cr. I've heard that srp has off the shelf dish pistons for 5.7 rods. That true?
I think a custom ground cam is gonna be best unless there is a good boost cam for the lt1 cars that I'm not finding.

Pistons need to be a certain material for lots of boost, someone else can chime in on that. The stock GM cranks are beasts, in LTs and in LS engines. I don't I have ever seen someone break a stock crank, without another failure taking it out like a rod bolt letting loose and the rod taking out the crank. Forged rods and Pistons on a stock crank will handle more than you can probably throw at it, provided you have splayed 4 bolt mains or a 4 bolt block.
