Hello. Newbie to the site and was wondering if someone out there might be able to answer a question for me.I recently purchased a 2001 LS1 out of an Fbody. I had very little information on the motor other than what visual inspection could tell me. I noticed that the motor was VERY clean and appeared to have new gaskets. Once I got it home and pulled the pan, I noticed that the cylinders still had signs of a cross hatch pattern. Which leads me to believe we had a relatively fresh build. I also noticed that the head gaskets are tagged as "6.0". Does this mean that someone changed the bore or the heads? Are the 6.0 liter gaskets usable on the 5.7? Thank you in advance!

 

This is the LT1 section, you need to post that in the GEN III internal section. You could also do a search, I'm sure that topic is covered.
