I'm not sure what the builder did, I was lied to when I bought this motor, and so far I haven't had any luck with anything involving this engine. I was pretty much scammed. It does have the pistons and rods/stock crank like was mentioned but everything else has been a total nightmare. Car hasn't moved but 100 miles in seven years I've tried to get it running & most places I take it to laugh me out of their shop thinking someone else's misfortune is funny. The motor seized when I was trying to put relocation brackets on for accessories & checking belt lengths. Total. Nightmare.

But like I said, totally hoping and praying for the best. If it's a clean slate I may just find a used LT1 and drop it in. Cut my huge losses on my $3,000 paper weight.

Unless stock parts are crap now compared to the ole days, for "Certain Builds" forged stuff is not needed. back in the day we would take our SBC, port or install new heads and cam and run the crap out of them, granted they were only high 11 low 12 second cars but they held together for ahwile, My buddies 302 cu in was all factory stock less cam, intake and exhaust, spun that motor to 8000 RPM's! and yes finally a rod decided to exit the block, but what Im getting at for a low rpm motor you can get away with a lot of stock parts, My stock crank in my 95z held up to 648 RWHP but I was only spinning it to 6100..
