Default Headers question

Got the header install done....and this car moves! Sounds extremely bad *** too. But the question is, now I'm driving the car around and the water temp. gauge is going outta control, it's at like 215-220.....the engine temp. is now a little above the half way mark.

Does anyone have any ideas??

Hmm... were there any other mods you did? I remember you got ceramic coated headers, I doubt they'd be giving off enough heat to affect it that dramatically.

Sounds like you have a bubble in your coolant system. If the gauge is bouncing around, thats probably the case. Doesnt hurt to replace the $7 sensor in your head, either. You also could have damaged the wire. Mine's hurt, but nothing serious. It bounces around from time to time, it's not read by the PCM, so it's not especially an issue.

I paid $12 for that sensor! Broke mine off changing header gaskets.
