Ima get my block machined first obviously, but do you think it is worth the money to buy this and use this set up with high compression ??

im sure others will chime in and give their opinion as well but from what ive seen and read over the past few years, you can piece everything out and put together a better "kit" than that. do some searching on here and there are lots of 383/396 combos that i believe would produce more power. with some time you can spec all the parts out and come up with a better selection of parts. obviously budget comes into play but i would start with karl ellweins website and you get a good idea of what goes into it. i wanna say le will help you with combos too but not sure. research research research !

Personally, I would pass on this (cheap) kit.....but that's just me.

Their master kit is not all that great but they offer just a rotating assembly for 950. You can upgrade the "kit" any way you want and they are super easy to deal with. They balance the whole thing for another 200, including adding the mallory metal to the front of the crank to properly balance an lt1.

I recently called and ordered the parts to make up a rotating assembly and flex plate and they are balancing it for me. I upgraded to a forged setup and the price on it was pretty good.
