Anyone have a LT4 knock module
I think they are nice to have installed if you have noisy rockers and headers just incase the stock lt1 KM is picking up false knock. However they say a good tuner can tune out the false knock and do other things to the pcm to make it less sensitive .
I keep one in my 96 z28, just sold off my spare lt4 KM's.

Saw a modified Z28 in the junk yard with headers, rockers. Check the knock module and saw a LT4 KM part number 16214681.
Went to pay for it, they had no idea what it was. They sold it for $3.00, now i have another extra LT4 KM.
I bought the cable and downloaded several tuning software, i might look into how they make the KM less sensitive.

It’s been done before by many. My car is a 95, so the resistance on the knock sensor is about 4K ohms. So for 1$ I got an assortment of little resistors. unplugged the knock sensor and took a 3.9k ohm resistor and crimped it in the wire running to the knock sensor and then grounded it out on the body with a sheet metal screw. Leave the knock sensor in because it goes into the water jacket. Now the computer never sees knock. Essentially a bypass. Don’t give me a bunch of **** about bypassing the knocks sensor. I’ve ran my big block and small block Chevy’s to 7k rpm with carburetors and no knock sensors. I think it’s good for a stock car, but with modifications, provides very little protection.
Money received. I use the united states postal service for shipping small items. And i will take a pic of the receipt with tracking # once i mail it. Its gonna be a few days before i can mail it because im away at work so it will probably be late week hope thats okay.
