I noticed a huge difference in power and it sounds badass! Only $500 for the headers with y pipe and definitely worth it. Long tubes are definitely better than shorties but mid lengths are just a little shorter than long tubes and there is probably a very minimal difference between the two. Unless you're building a 500+ hp car, I would just go with the mid lengths.
do you have a link?

NO!! Go long tube stainless headers and y-pipe if you don't need that emission crap! I have the ebay stainless brand and they look great. If you go non stainless you are going to go through reinstalling another set in a few years because they are going to start rusting or decaying.

My County does not do emissions but does visual checks of catalytic converters. Should I get LT still or should i play it safe and get mids?

+1 for stainless. Regardless of what you have heard, ceramic coating does almost nothing to prevent rust. I've has 2 sets of pacesetters (got one for free) and am now running LPP. couldn't be happier.

Which ebay stainless LT are ya'll going with? Did a quick search just now and it seems there is a few sellers all around the same price, any one have experience with any brand or seller? These will be going on a carbed genI SBC swap with vortec heads if that makes any difference.

I've heard great things about the eBay brand speed engineering. Everyone is saying they fit like a glove and are cheap for SS piping. Might give them a shot. Happy that ppl here like to help out!!

Sweet, thanks for that. Trying to get all these pieces figured out so I can make this install pretty seamless.

If they check for cats then they are probably going to check if they are in the factory location. That means long tubes are out. I dealt with long tubes and california emissions for many years and I am so glad I switched out to the mids. Most people just take what they hear about mids being garbage and regurgitate the info everywhere they can. The fitment and ground clearance with the mids I have is near factory.
