how to install JET DST tuner?
Hello, I bought a JET DST tuner P#14005 for my 1996 LT1 impala SS. I tried to install it in my HP laptop that has windows 8 in it but I couldn't install it correctly.
in the DST instructions sheet says to install the program the installation program must be run in compatibility mode, what is the compatibility mode?

Windows does allow for older programs to work as if they are running in the environment that they were intended to operate under.
To install the program locate the installation file likely called setup.exe ( I can check my own Jet disk tomorrow when I'm at work). Right clickon it and a
little 'tool window' opens up. There is a "compatibility " tab at the top. Click on that and select "run as XP service pack 3" (or something pretty close to that). Now run the file to install the software. Pay attention to where you tell the install utility to put the program.
Once installed, locate the actual program ("jet.exe" or something to that effect) and again right click, select compatibility tab and specify XP SP3. It should run as intennded.
You need a serial cable to connect to the box that plugs into the ODBll port. Presumably you have already purchased an USB to serial adapter cable? Just be aware that they can be a bit finicky. If the DST is issuing communication errors you might need to try another cable or two until it works.
I was sufficiently annoyed with this that I sourced out an older HP laptop on Craigslist ($30) that was equipped with a serial port.
Hope this helps.

I found how to install the JET DST by make it compatible with XP SP2. both JET tuner and JET flash worked.
now, I want to program the radiator fans to operate earlier, what tables to look at? and what values to set for the primary fan and secondary fan?
I already have a low temp 160 degree thermostat.
thanks for help.
