Do the Eagle cranks and things still have bad quality control or have they improved their products at this point? Eagle used to be the big one, now I see folks only running Callies, Scat & Lunati. Is Eagle still shunned?
Thanks in advanced for replies.

There was a time back in the mid 2000's where Eagle forged was questionable for both LT and LX based. I bought a crank that had "loose" tolerances to say the least. The pilot hole is larger than it should be and the snout diameter is small. Their answer, at least for awhile was a gnurled bearing. No answer for snout so I had it keyed. I am using a pilot bearing now, but have shimmed it so it doesn't fall too far into the hole. Also the bolt hole for the snout is deeper than normal. The crank did balance fine and for the money I believe the other issues are manageable. Things may have been for the better since. Not sure.
Cool thanks for sharing all that. I remember seeing people posting up pictures where the crank sheered off. I'll be boosting so I don't want this thing popping out the oil pan.

I have used two eagle rotating assemblies, their finial balance and machining is alright, but definitely nothing to brag about. I have found it takes more work to balance than a scat crank. The Bryant and Winberg cranks that I've seen have immaculate finish and take less work to get correct, for 3k dollars I guess they need to be.
If you are buying an aftermarket crank it better be a forging, since the factory cast ones are just as good or better than aftermarket castings.
