Click on any entry trapping around 117-118 mph and higher and then scroll up to the window that pops up at the top of the list to see what modifications they've done to their car.
Also, check out the stickies at the top of this section for hp vs. mods.
100-200 shot of Nitrous on a motor built to take it that makes 360-400hp N/A.
Other than that you're not really going to be driving around with an ideal daily driver pushing 500hp and above Which would at that point need a Supercharger or Turbo kit to hit those numbers on an LT1 to the wheels.
So what you can do. Stroke out your motor to a nice 383, throw in some forged internals, Get some nice heads and have a nice cam with good street manners tossed in there make 380-400hp to the wheels and enjoy the car.
Tame that down to 500 crank hp with a drop in CR and a smaller cam, and yes they are easily daily drivable.
But, as SS RRR says, if it must be smog friendly, then a small shot of N2O or FI will be necessary.
