Default LT1 Rear Main Seal

Hey guys,
I just bought a 94 Trans Am and noticed that the throw out bearing was rattling, so I dropped the trans. While I have it out I decided to change the rear main seal for preventative maintenance, there are currently no leaks.
My question is do you think it's safe to just change the seal or should I drop the oil pan and change the housing gasket too?
Thanks

just change the RMS if you have the tranny out. I like the FelPro rubber one

Just a "heads up"....if you decide to install the "later", Teflon RMS, do not oil it prior to installation.
