AFAIK the Vortechs only come with a small in-line pump meant to run in series with the stocker. With more than just a stock build it may not be enough pump even if its working properly. Keep in mind most kits are based around working in a stock motor - with ported heads and a cam, your fuel needs are a lot higher than a stock motor with a Vortech thrown on.

Thank you for the response. I ordered a new AME 340 intank and will also use the booster that came with the kit.

The inline stuff is a bandaid to help people justify leaving a factory in tank pump IMO.

Highly recomend you upgrade factory fuel pump wiring

Tank Bulkhead

Pump harness

You will be asking a lot of OEM wiring.

^ very good point. I'll see if they have a plug and play harness.

Another question, I installed a new OEM A/C Delco fuel filter. Could that be causing a restriction and should I upgrade? If so, what would the recommendations be for replacement?

I run a AC delco OEM filter and lines on mine, no issues with FP losses.
