8.1 to an LT4 ('06 Suburban)

What will have to be changed or modified to put an LT4 into an 8.1 'burban w/4L80E? frame stands & mounts, will the trans bolt up etc. Any & all help appreciated! Steve M.

Just find you another used 8.1 and swap it. The LT1 architecture is wrong for the LS style mounts the 8.1 uses. Then add in you will need an EFI Connection 24x kit along with the $800 conversion DBW throttle body for the LT1. Finally figure that suburban has a 4L85E and probably 3.73s at most the LT4 will be way down on power.

I'm thinking he means the Gen V LT4 in which case this is the wrong section to ask this question. better to ask this in the Gen V section, or Conversions & Hybrids section
