That kick out is pretty slick. That's so the air will go around and to the heater core. Using a plate like that would eliminate the need to modify the box like i did, and like that picture posted earlier in the thread.

Is there any other way to contact the builder of the delete plate with the notch/box to keep heat, the FB link didn't work for me, thanks?

Looks like the Dorman 34209 is the delete pulley to get but many have claimed needing to drill out the threaded holes in the bracket and also use washers to shim it properly.

Easy peasy.

Can you give more details about how you actually removed the old box and mounted the block-off plate? I'm keeping my heater and bought the same bock-off plate. I'd rather not remove the dash. Did you just cut the box out? How about mounting the plate with the existing bolts sticking through the firewall from the inside?
