Speed density cars seem to respond better to mods, they can also actually use and afpr because the computer doesnt correct for it. One disadvantage is that they are harder to get tuned because they use replaceable chips that only a few people work with.

As Rich said, finding a tuner is a bit more difficult due to the equipment used, but it's well worth it. Actually being able to use an AFPR is nice too!
If I can explain it without confusing myself, the MAF cars use the mass airflow sensor to "measure" the incoming air for fuel calibrations, while the speed density system uses the MAP sensor to measure the Manifold Absolute Pressure and the VE tables to make the necessary fuel calibrations.
