Nitrous on a stock lt1
Ok guys I知 looking to shoot 150 shot on a stock lt1 6 speed. I have a couple of questions.
#1 what ignition box are you guys using to pull timing on these cars now? I know that back in the days most guys used a Mallory 685.
#2 I知 looking at a nos plate kit but it uses a 58 tb can I run it with the stock tb or do I need to use the stock 58 tb.
#3 will I be ok with a 150 shot and the stock fuel pump or is a 255 walbro a must?
Also what kind of gains can I expect to see in a stock lt1 with a 150 shot.
Thanks

#1-MSD Digital 6 Plus works great to pull timing.
#2-The stock throttle body will be fine as the kit was designed to work with a stock lt1.
#3-Do the Walbro 255. You never want to skimp on fuel with nitrous.
You will gain about 15-17mph and 1.5-1.7 seconds in the quarter with traction on the 150 shot. It will be night and day compared to N/A.

agree with the above......but on a stock bottom end, especially a higher mileage one, the hyper pistons will be challenged for longevity under a repeated 150 shot
Your tune and fueling will need to be spot on

Ran a 150 shot on my impala for years having the LT4 hotcam kit
I used a digital 6 box to pull timing and an MSD digital window switch.
Worked great for 6+ yrs.
Ran consistant 7.50s 1/8th for a mild cammed LT. This was also 15 yrs ago so 7.5s for a 4200# car was damn good.
