Default Radiator with no Steam pipe fitting

Just picked up a full aluminum double row radiator for my 94 Formula Drift car, and realized that while everything else is a mirror of the factory rad, it does lack a connection for the steam pipe.

Can i just connect the steam pipe to the coolant reservoir or do i need to tap into a coolant line. or even drill out the trans cooler fitting and use that as a connection (my car is manual).

You need to tee it back into the radiator return line. https://jagsthatrun.com/products/bra...-radiator-hose

Just run it into the upper rad hose with a fitting like the one lt1-xts posted.

Which radiator line is the return? This diagram shows negative pressure for the steam pipe which corresponds with the lower radiator hose. Or am i just interpreting the diagram wrong?

No it's not, the lower is the return. Shoebox's diagram is correct.

The large hose that points to the driver side is the radiator return, the upper hose in that diagram.

No....upper is return. Because if your rad isn't full it will still circulate water. If the lower was return then the upper would be suction and never get any water if it were low. Unless I'm not understanding what you're talking about.

If you have a surge tank plumbed in then you can run your steam pipe to that. But not a reservoir.

If you have a 94, you should already have the teed hose that would normally goe to the TB (#14 in the diagram). Just use, extend that hose to your steam pipe (assuming the TB has been bypassed). Problem solved.

The diagram is absolutely correct.

That sounds perfect, my tb is bypassed, and i actually have a hose without a tee in that location so ill either buy a new hose or just the tee, either way thank you for the help!

Again, no it's not. On an LT1, the water pump redirects coolant from the block back to the heads when the thermostat is closed. Your radiator should be full anyway, so your logic is flawed.
