Default Lt1 performance shops?

Does anyone specialize in these things anymore and do a good job? I just did my manifold gaskets and discovered my head was leaking oil. I'm pretty frustrated and don't have much for time to tear this thing down again. So who does good motor work and what does it cost? I'm looking at getting everything resealed. The car only has 30k on it but it wasn't driven much which is why I think this is leaking like it is....

You have an old car like this you really should find the time to fix things yourself. If/when you find a shop they'll want to work on it about as bad as you do, take advantage of your good nature and charge you up the *** for the simplest bullshit. Do it yourself and you'll only have you to deal with if something goes wrong.

I know and thats the plan if its stupid, i bought the thing to drive it and its gonna bug me if it dosent get repaired. im going to be out of the country in June for work, so either it gets done while im gone or i do it over the winter, im weighing my options but i was looking forward to enjoying it lol. Especially since i already fixed one

Maybe someone, now that your location has been determined..., who lives in your area can respond to whatever shop "may" be good. With that said most shop labor is around $100 hr +/-.

So "getting everything resealed"....is a broad statement which could in the end cost several thousand $. Assuming you do find a qualified shop with knowledge of a 22+ year old platform your wallet better be thick. You would be better served on this forum if you could at least state what exactly leaks. Head that leaks oil....could be more than just replacing a "head gasket"....assuming the head is actually leaking oil.

Best if you are in the car hobby to do your own work if you have the skill set and tools. If you are a "point & pay" guy...its goona cost $

well it has been decided that im going to go about this journey myself. It will be a great learning experience for me and will be my work when i am done. Im pretty meticulous so it shouldn't be to bad once i get the motor out. While its out im going to do a cam and anything needed to get that done properly. I will start a different thread. ive been doing some research and have some ideas but i want everything to be organized in one spot. feel free to chime in over there
