Default SBC Head Conversion

Since we all drive cars that make no sense in the time of the great LSX, bare with me.

What is required to convert some AFR 210s to LTX use?

Would it make little to no sense and require a new tune with little to gain? Yes.

I'm assuming you have a set of standard sbc AFRs because AFR makes Eliminator 210s already to bolt on LT1 engines.

My friend used to convert them differently. If you weld an aluminum head, you have to get it milled because the heat from the weld will warp the deck slightly. My friend used to drill and tap the oil hole that isn't used and then insert an allen headed plug into it. There's a few other things you have to do, but it' been a long time since I saw one.

Wouldn't these make more sense over the AFR SBC head?

Edit....nevermind...just saw you already have those SBC heads.

Take an LT1 head gasket and mark all the locations on the decks where the water passages need to be added/modified and have aluminum plugs made to fit the water passages on the intake surface and have them welded up then surface the heads on both the intake face. but you may have to get your intake manifold spot faced as well.
