100% throttle but no PE mode???

100% throttle but no PE mode??? I was out in my car the other night with the laptop doing some logging with eehack. I'm experiencing an odd thing. I noticed a couple times while on a full throttle pull the wide band showed extremely lean. If I were to let off and then get back in it (WOT), the afr's would get back to where I want them.
Went back and looked at the logs when this was happening. Noticed that when I was WOT the tps would read 100% but it was NOT in power enrichment mode. Then when I let off and got back in it, PE mode kicked on and afr was good.
Tomorrow I'll measure the tps and make sure it's set right. Could it be a bad tps, maybe a dead spot? Any other suggestions? Anybody experience this?
