90’s LT1 and LT4 differences What are the differences between a 90’s LT1 engine and a LT4 engine?
i have a 93 Lt1 Police Interceptor Camaro that’s had a little work done but not sure what was done.
I am going to rebuild the engine with some modification to boost the horsepower up a little more.
i was wondering what are differences in the engines.
I also notice when stopping quickly going down a down grade ,my oil sump seems like all the oil leaves and oil pressure drops for a couple seconds.

Here is a good link with comparisons. The LT4 has some definite improvements over the LT1. I have an LT1 in my 64 El Camino.

Thank you so much for responding with the answer to my question.I currently own a 93 Camaro B4C-1LE model Police Interceptor. I’m am thinking about putting a LT1 into my 81 Corvette project.
I like the LT1’s performance and reliability but I want to build it to at least 500hp plus
