Default 87 monto Carlo with an LT1

I have an 87 Monto Carlo with the 96 corvette LT1, the car stalls out mostly on turns but sometimes when I'm slowing down. Any suggestions on what the issue could be and also I cannot find a shop that can hook it up and get codes off the engine.

So it does have an OBDII data port? If so, you can go to any parts store and have them plug it in. My guess is some sort of fuel issue.

It sounds like the gas tank doesn't have a fuel sump. So, when the level gets below a certain point, there is nothing keeping the fuel from sloshing away from the pump's pickup during turning or braking.

Good point. More than likely the fuel pump is cavitating. What fuel pump and tank are you using?

A fuel pressure gauge taped to the windshield would show if pressure drops during turns/braking....

the conditions the car stalls/stumbles suggests fuel is sloshing away from the fuel pump pick-up

a FP gauge would confirm if this is the cause

The car stalls out of turns? Or when you let off the gas?
