Default Can’t put on schrader valve

So I’m having a hard time putting this schrader valve on . I put the valve in the fuel inlet but the black cap does not screw in like the valve is too big. What am I doing wrong?

Have you had the schrader valve in before? that looks like a AN fitting and not meant for a schrader valve.

It's ok man I've never taken on apart either one can only assume right?! Love the idea. Brings to mind is there a valve that can screw onto the fuel port that way we can bleed it by hand???

I'm not even sure what I'm looking at. I reckon the appendage coming off the fitting is a fuel pressure sensor? What is this for? An F-body schrader looks like this:

Not all test ports on EFI systems have a Schrader valve, A couple of mine just had a AN cap... Which is a surprise if you pull the cap with the pump on..
