Default Reusing lifters?

Is it safe to reuse roller lifters? I don't want to put some in backwards and wipe out some cam lobes, if that's even possible. If not, what replacement lifters can be found affordably and don't require changing pushrods?

They are not directional. As long as the lifter cups are unremarkable and the rollers are smooth (no pits) and roll free and do not feel like they are catching, then yes you can absolutely reuse them.

I agree with the above unless your stock lifters have a lot of miles on them in which case it would be prudent to change them.

Yeah, that's what I figured, but some tiny voice in my head was thinking there may be an increased chance of failure if they have spun one way for 50k then are spun another way at 6k rpm.

I want to replace lifters, but I don't want to have to wait on new pushrods if I am stuck with different geometry.

rollers and lifter cups. if they have any physical impressionable wear then replace them. if not, reuse them.

Awesome! Thank you guys. Is there anything in particular that I should be looking for, or just make sure the cups aren't scraped up and the rollers aren't chipped?

Oh, forgot, lifter bodys as well. If they have any markings on them as well you should most likely replace them. If all that checks out I'd surely reuse them.
