Default Bye Bye Opti Going TorqHead 24x Conversion

As title states I'm changing it up and planning to go TH 24x system with "the works" entire system. To tune my LT1 locally I need the DST made by JET that is $400 and its a use it once and I'll never use to again item then $300-400 for the tune. Doing this conversion gives me such a wide range of options and should future proof the car for a long long long time. The car is a pristine 1997 LT1 and I want to keep the LT1 motor as a heritage to the engine and keep it true to the 1997 style but with a modern flare or advancement. This is where the 24x TH system comes into play.

Any input or ideas on the system. My shop called and said he would work with us as a business and give my shop owner a discount for the items and I was quoted around $600-$800 in labor. TH said he will disable AIR/EGR/EVAP (EGR/EVAP doesn't work with the conversion anyway that is the only issue, which when I drop the motor I'll pull those two things out anyways). TH also is aware that I am removing the TCS "ASR" nasty black box on the DS valve cover but want to keep cruise and ABS. He said he can tune out the computer to make the TCS be off like when you remove TCS you automatcially lose ABS but he can change that. Would mean I would still have the ABS and wont have to use a resistor to fake the PCM into thinking my TCS is connected when its not. I have the 95 camaro Cruise Control Cable Non-TCS, Just need the 95-97 camaro Throttle Cable without TCS. Is there anything else I need at this time? Any bracket to hold the cruise and throttle cable together by the intake manifold?

Thanks!

BUMP

Anyone know about using non-tcs throttle and cruise cables and yanking out the asr unit on my camaro?

People are taking about taking the whole rear end apart lol to make this work, surely that is not needed.

Spartan7 and others have said:

Non TCS LT1 Cruise Cable
Non TCS LT1 Throttle Cable
2.6- 3.7 ohm resistor that PLUGS into the wires that plugged into the ASR motor? Is that all that is, changing rear ends? Swapping sensors out? Changing ABS modules etc, is that all involved? Going from 4 channel to 3 channel.

I don't want to switch rear ends, I SIMPLY want to remove ASR but KEEP Cruise Control and ABS. Is this possible and how?

Currently have a 95 camaro Z28 Non-TCS "ASR" Cruise Cable on the way.

Little bit of a tangent here, but why wouldn't EGR/EVAP work with the torquehead conversion? Is that something you've requested or does it have to be that way?

Something to do with how the LS1 PCM runs the LS1 evap stuff compared to the LT1 EVAP hardware, I think.

Has anybody seen the video on YouTube where guy swaps his LT ecm for a LS, swaps pins in them and plugs in his car. It allows the car to run without the OPTI. I think you must tune out VATS. Therefore now allowing you to build your engine and essentially tune it just as easy as the LS being it has the computer. Now you can achieve the same results as some of the big $$$$ Torqhead for 30$ ecm at junkyard.

Not to jack the thread but that method in the video is for obd2 wired, for my 1994 looks like 24x is my only option
