Default How to Install VATS Bypass Module?

I have a 94 model trans am, car hasn't been started for 2 years. The previous owner installed a bypass relay but I guess it burned out so im re wiring stock. I recently bought this https://www.hawksmotorsports.com/vat...camaro-firebird/ and even after the diagrams I dont know how to install it right. What wires do I connect to what? Wires are not my thing lol

To bypass VATS most people use resistor value from the key. Find orange / white wires located under the driverside kick panel. Then, run same resistor value as the key inline to the white wires looped together.

Just like Shbox website

I'm going to try this method next week when i'm off and let you know how it goes.

The way it's rigged up now is it has a starter solenoid and a relay connecting to the Theft Detterent Relay along with a push button start switch,

Hopefully your method works and I can get my car started

Hello,

You wrote: "Also where can I get some resistors from??"

With Radio Shack gone from the streets and shopping malls, its gotten tougher to find piece parts such as resistors. I like Digi-Key or Mouser for some things but then I still have access to a small, locally owned electronics business here in town. You might call your local fire alarm and home security shops and see if they know of a local electronics vendor.

I bought my resistors from Fry’s Electronics. I dont know if you have them nere you.

The way yours is bypass seems complicated, you might need to put all the wires back to stock then do the bypass like said.

Let us know what happens after the bypass.
