Rearends My current mods are in my sig, im ganna be getting an LT4 hotcam kit in the next couple weeks. I want to put on Nitto Drag Radials, after those mods and tires will my stock rearend break?? Or should i just stick with getting a good 275/40 tire?

could go either way. The 10-bolt strengths vary. Some guys I know break them with the stock tires, doing burnouts. Then again, other guys have run DRs with an M6 and lasted quite a few runs. So I dunno.
I broke mine on Potenza RE730s (Street tires, stock size 245/50R16), pretty much stock with trans mods. Not even a single track pass with those mods and I broke the axle tube free from the housing and grenaded the inside.

Also what would be the cheapest way to prevent this? The moser 12-bolt goes for $2k, is there any more affordable alternative?

I've heard that those cast aluminum rear diff covers (with cap preloading bolts) would add some reinforcement and strength to the stock 10 bolt. It could be true, or it could be advertising hype - it's hard to say for sure.
Aside from a diff cover, isn't there such a thing as a "high torque" differential for the 10 bolt that you could install, short of getting a 12-bolt or a 9" rear end?
